Thank yous go to many this past week: to all

parents who drove for Plum Creek; to 5th-8th

grade parents who go their kids to church on

Sunday for singing; and to all the parents who

provided food for teachers during Parent/Teacher

Conferences. Many thanks!

Congratulations to the volleyball team and their

third-place finish at the St. John, Battle Creek

Tournament. The day began with a victory over

Immanuel, Columbus (25-18, 25-17) followed by a

loss in a hard fought game versus the host St.

John, Battle Creek team (24-16, 22-15). The girls were victorious in

the third-place game over Trinity, Fremont (25-16, 26-16). Thank you,

ladies, for your teamwork and sportsmanship. Thank you, also, parents

and fans for making the trip to Battle Creek.

If there are any problems with your t-shirt

orders, please let Sherry Hoffschneider know

ASAP. We will try to straighten it out. IF

anyone is interested in ordering more items,

we have 20 days to do so. We also need at least

12 items to make an order. Thank you!

Our Prayer Ministry for the week are Travis and

Danielle Grantski and their family, Nick and Kayla;

and Jeremy and Carrie Gumaer and their

family, Jayde and Andrea.

Please keep these families and the

rest of our staff especially in your prayers this week.

Because of Amy Bender’s health (kidney stone), we are in need of

a custodian for the rest of October. If you are interested in this

job, or if you know of anyone interested, please visit with Mr. Brauer.

The teachers and students have been doing the lion’s share of the

cleaning so far. If you would like to help until a custodian

can be put in place, please visit with Mr. Brauer and come after

school for vacuuming etc. Thank you!
