Dear friends in Christ, the readings for this coming Sunday are: Psalm 119:169-176; Ezekiel 34:11-24; 1 Timothy 1:12-17; Luke 15:1-10. I’ve lost a lot of stuff in my lifetime, and I’m only in my thirties. Every time I clean out my car or dare to look under the couch, there’s more stuff that I’d lost. And most of it, once found, goes right in the trash. It was lost, but it wasn’t really missed. Sunday’s readings remind us how dearly God loves His lost sheep, and how relentless He is in pursuing them. It also challenges us to ask whether we will join in His pursuit, and whether we will rejoice when they are found.
