This week at Jr. High youth group we’re going to be talking about Christmas (obviously).
Christmas means so many things to us, and it brings about so many feelings and memories, good and bad alike. But if we reduce Christmas to a season of our ‘feelings’ we may be missing the real eternal importance of the season.
To understand the Christmas and manger, we have to look forward to Easter and the cross, and that’s what we’re going to do this weekend. We’ll be looking at John 1 and talking about how God breaks the darkness, what the darkness is, and how Jesus still breaks the darkness today.
What is your strongest memory of the Christmas season?
Why do you think it’s so easy for us to forget about what Christmas is really all about?
How can we help each other better remember Jesus during this Christmas season?
