Palm Sunday Readings

(John 12:12-43) – Less than a week before his crucifixion, Jesus rides into the capitol city of Jerusalem in royal procession and is greeted as a king by the crowds. They cry, “Hosanna”, which means “save us now!” The crowds did not understand who their true and greatest enemy was, nor how it was that Jesus would rescue them.

(Philippians 2:5-11) – By his humility and sacrifice, Christ has given us an example to follow. The Christian life is to be one of devotion and service to those whom we are in a position to help.

(Zechariah 9:9-12) – These verses look forward five centuries to the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is the true King of God’s people, bringing peace and freedom to all who welcome Him in faith.

In what area of your life are you most needing peace?

What would it look like for Christ to bring his peace to that situation?
