On Thursday, May 11th, the 5th and 6th grades
will be going to Lincoln to help/visit the People’s
City Mission for a servant event. In preparation
for this, we will begin collecting items that the
mission has suggested. They always need XL
twin sheet, men’s deodorant, bath towels,
and inexpensive razors. Travel-sized
toiletries are also needed. Another suggestion was that kids bring toys or clothes that they’ve outgrown. Another possibility would be the purchase of $5 to $10 restaurant gift cards or movie passes to be used as reward for positive behaviors of the transitional men. Please bring donations to the 5th and 6th grade room.

Help pick the state reptile! The Nebraska Games
and Parks Commission is hoping to raise aware-
ness for the state’s reptile species by
encouraging all citizens (including school children) to vote for a state reptile. Nebraska is home to 48 species of reptiles, including snakes, turtles, and lizards. That list has been narrowed to six species: ornate box turtle, common snapping turtle, bullsnake, west hognose snake, prairie lizard, and the six-line racerunner. Select one to represent our state. Visit OutdoorNebraska.org/reptilevote to cast your ballet. Voting ends May 31st. To see photos and descriptions of each reptile, go to snr.unl.edu/herpneb.

PRAYER MINISTRY
Our Prayer Ministry family Guy Vestal and his
children, Scarlett, Savannah, Delta, and Georgia.
Please keep this family and the
rest of our staff especially in your prayers this week.
We send the Vestals off to Arizona with our prayers and
blessing. Family concerns facilitate that move. We
thank God for the 2 ½ years we have had together
and we know the Lord will go with them and guide their steps.
