This week at Jr. High youth group we’re going to be talking about friendship, and how as God’s baptized and redeemed children we are called to interact with the people we care about.
Often our goal is to have “good” friendships, but that’s a hard definition to pin down. Instead we’re going to explore what it might mean to have “Christ-like” friendships, or friendships where Jesus is the center instead of ourselves.
We’re going to be looking at several Bible verses and constructing what we’ll call a “Theology of Friendship” where we let God’s Word shape our understanding of what it means to be Godly friends.
I’ve attached the presentation that we’ll be using in the event that you wanted to see it and discuss it with your students when they get home.
Thank you, and have a great rest of your week!
